Is training available for WISE?

WISE offers a number of supports for teachers who want to learn to use WISE. Several of these supports are already in place, and several more are in development. We encourage you to take advantage of the supports available and to keep in contact with WISE so that you can take advantage of future opportunities. Here are some of the options available:

• WISE Workshops: Every year, WISE offers a number of teacher workshops that introduce WISE teaching practices and software. Contact us for information about workshops in your area — we would love you and your school to get involved.
• Guides to WISE: In the Teacher's PET area of WISE, we have several step-by-step guides to getting around WISE, using WISE in the classroom, and customizing WISE projects to suit your class's needs.
• WISE NetCourse and Tutorial: Once you have registered for WISE, you can take advantage of our on-line NetCourse and Tutorial. It takes the form of a WISE project and introduces you to the WISE learning environment and WISE classroom practice. [Under Development]
